Denis’ View of Roquefère

I’m rarely at St Pierre in the winter—it’s cold and the days are short. But Denis, the grocer at the only store for miles and miles, has a warm house which looks down and across his home village of Roquefère. The castle, like the Church in Miraval (and here), is built right into the rock. I can see more of the old stone houses and gardens when the leaves have fallen.
