House at the Bend of the Road

Description

Just outside of Mas-Cabardès across from the mill beside the bridge, this house was for sale. While I painted it, I sent emails to a friend in Santa Cruz. She was interested, but it sold within a week—unbelievably fast for this region. The new owners, a German couple, cleaned and repaired it and planted a garden across the road. Alas, they liked neither summer’s heat nor winter’s darkness. They’re in Spain, I heard, and the house is for sale again.
