Vineyard in Red: Lance’s Birthday

The days are short in November, and the vineyards, now bereft of grapes, brighten the landscape with brilliant warm colors. I love best to look at a slope covered with plots of differing varieties. There will then be reds and siennas, oranges and yellows, all making a living patchwork celebrating the end of another year.
